Cara was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in August 2006. She joined Simmons Wolfhagen in 2009 after previously practising in Tasmania in family law. Cara has also spent time overseas working in Canada in commercial law.
Cara practises in commercial law and property law and advises on a broad range of matters including commercial and residential conveyancing, property developments and subdivisions, sales and purchases of businesses, commercial and residential leasing, advising on Contracts and other commercial transactions.
Cara also practises in estate planning and provides legal advice in relation to Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardians.
Cara is the Co-President of the Southern Young Lawyers Committee in Tasmania and is on the Future Directions Committee for the Property Council of Australia. She is also a member of the Law Society of Tasmania, the Tasmanian Women Lawyers and is a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the High Court of Australia.
In her spare time, Cara enjoys running, snowboarding, travelling and many other outdoor pursuits.
