Craig’s practice focuses on all aspects of the building, construction and engineering industries in both “front end” and dispute resolution matters. His work includes drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts, advising on contract administration and dispute resolution. Craig has a strong interest and experience in alternative dispute resolution. Craig also has a Professional Certificate in Arbitration and Mediation.
Craig also practises in general commercial dispute resolution, including litigation, with particular experience in insurance litigation and insolvency matters.
Craig joined Simmons Wolfhagen in December 2010, having worked for four years in the construction and electricity industries. Craig was admitted to practice in 1993 and has previously worked in the construction and major projects group of a large Melbourne law firm and as an employee and partner in another Hobart law firm.
Craig advises project owners, contractors, consultants and other parties on projects of all types and sizes from residential construction to large commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, including road, rail and power generation. Craig also has experience in contracts for asset maintenance and supply of large plant and equipment.
Craig is a Church Advocate for the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania.
In his spare time Craig is assistant organist of St David’s Cathedral, studies German and wrangles a 1965 Mercedes-Benz.
