Justin joined Simmons Wolfhagen in 1998 as a partner after working as a solicitor and partner with a number of Hobart law firms since 1980. Justin practises in property law and commercial law including conveyancing, sales and purchases of businesses, leases and other commercial transactions. He also provides commercial law advice to local government clients in areas such as contract law and land acquisition.
Justin also practises as a probate lawyer, providing advice to clients on the drafting and interpretation of Wills, and the planning and administration of estates. He also practises in estate litigation, particularly claims under the Testator’s Family Maintenance Act and he occasionally appears as counsel before the Supreme Court of Tasmania in cases involving estate administration and Testator’s Family Maintenance Act claims.
He is a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the High Court of Australia.
Justin is married with two daughters and in his spare time enjoys rock climbing and mountain biking – on weekends he can usually be found on the slopes or cliffs of Mount Wellington.
