Sam graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and was admitted to the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia following completion of a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the Australian National University in June 2011.
Sam primarily practises as a part of the local government, environment and planning law team at Simmons Wolfhagen assisting with appearances for councils as well as developers and representors in the Resource Management and Planning Appeals Tribunal and the Supreme Court of Tasmania. She assists in undertaking research and the preparation of advice to corporate and government clients on issues of local government law, interpretation of statutes, and in administrative and public law, including judicial review.
Sam also assists in the areas of family law and general litigation.
Before commencing university studies, Sam worked as a legal secretary and then a conveyancing clerk at Simmons Wolfhagen and another Hobart law firm.
Away from work, Sam’s interests include netball and other outdoor activities.
