Claire graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined degree in Science and Law in 2006. Following several years working in the finance sector, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2010. Upon her admission, she worked as Associate to the Honourable Chief Justice Blow AO, before entering private practice predominantly working in the areas of family law, child protection, criminal law and wills and estates.
Claire has routinely appeared as counsel in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Tasmania, Magistrates Courts and before the Guardianship Stream of TASCAT.
Claire was appointed as an investigator for the Legal Profession Board of Tasmania in 2017, before returning to practice in her home town of Launceston in 2019. Claire assists individuals in all aspects of family law, including matrimonial and de facto relationships and separations, financial agreements, children’s matters and succession planning.
Claire is committed to improving access to justice and is a former director and Secretary of the Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service.
