David is a Director of Simmons Wolfhagen leading a team focused on planning and environmental advocacy and advice, the local government regulatory framework and governance, and building and construction dispute resolution.
David appears as Counsel most usually in the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT) and in the Tasmanian Planning Commission where he is an advocate for Councils, developers and third parties. He also appears as Counsel at the Appellate level in the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
David is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a National Board Director of the Housing Industry Association. David is a past Board member of Red Cross (Tasmania), the Fahan School and the Hutchins School (including as Chair).
